Pettit's Green Thumb Farm

We are a farm to table property located in Charlestown Twp., Ravenna, Ohio.
, LLC

We take pride in hosting federal pollinator fields here on our farm. These specially designed fields aim to enhance the environment, support pollinator insects, and promote the growth of native plants within our local ecosystem. Established in 2022 and 2023 with the assistance of the Portage County Soil and Water office, our pollinator fields span 2.5 acres, showcasing a diverse array of Ohio native plants alongside other wild flora that thrive on our land.

The fields provide habitat to native pollinators, butterflies, birds, and small wildlife, as well as occasionally serve as a summer home for local honeybees. These fields are meticulously crafted to bolster the local ecosystem by reducing soil erosion, facilitating the pollination of our farm's fruits and vegetables, and fostering the establishment of native Ohio plants on our property. We have been recognized by the National Wildlife Foundation, Pollinator.org, and Firefly Conservation and Research for our conservation practices. Additional information about our recognition is found here.

We provide support to local pollinator programs by offering tours and information to others interested in establishing pollinator fields. Interested people can visit by contacting us us directly or through arrangement with Portage County Soil and Water or the local Pollinator.org representative.

We're on the map. Try to find us! Hint, look a little north and a little east of Rt. 224, and you'll see symbols for two houses and a tree symbol.  One of those is ours!
